I Am With You Still
Victim's Daughter Reads Poem To Dad
Benjamin Keefe Clark of Brooklyn, was a chef on the 96th floor of the
world trade center and was last seen helping a woman in a wheelchair on the 88th floor on September 11,
2001. He was one of the victims of the attack on America.
At Ground Zero on September 11, 2002 11-year-old Brittany Clark, daughter of Benjamin, read a tribute to her father.
Brittany quoted an often-heard poem, whose author is unknown, saying:
"This poem makes me feel like my daddy is speaking to me."
I am With You Still
Author: Unknown
I give you this one thought to keep,
I am with you still, I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glint on the snow.
I am as sunlight on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain
When you awaken in morning hush.
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight,
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not think of me as gone,
I am with you still in each new dawn.
