Vegetable Stock
Ingredients:
2 Carrots, sliced
1 Onion, sliced
2 Celery stalks, sliced
1 Medium turnip, chopped
6 Peppercorns
1 quart water
1 Bay leaf
Directions
Place all the ingredients in a large
saucepan. Bring to a boil. Cover and simmer gently for 2 hours. Strain.
Yield:
Makes 1 liter/1 quart
