Nanak (1469-1539) believes in one transcendent, inexpressible and formless
divinity, who is manifest everywhere in the world He has created. By meditating
on the name of the God, the true nature and essence of the godhead could be
revealed. Sikhs believe that religion is useless if the worshipper's heart
remained immersed in the material world.
